Samsula Events

As promised I am trying to branch out and give events not just on the beach but all over Southeast Volusia County....The SN PJ Lodge on Samsula Rd. invites the public to its annual Fish Fry beginning at 12:30 p.m. on September 6th.  Those attending need to bring a covered dish or two to share.  Non-members may eat for a $5 donation.  The lodge opens at 11 a.m. for anyone wishing to come and help fry the fish and make other dishes of cheese grits, baked beans, hushpuppies and cole slaw. Makes me hungry thinking about it.

Samsula Women's Club is also taking recipes for their 4th edition Country Cookbook. They plan to have it published in time for Christmas. I have an older edition that I was given and it is wonderful! You can drop off your recipes to any Women's Club member or at Mike's Corner in Samsula. You can also email them to dkholley@cfl.rr.com. They are also still taking advertisements, contact Grace Daniels for more information on that. She can be reached at 386-426-2841

The club is also hosting their Annual Fall Festival and Craft Show on October 2, 2010 at the SNPJ Lodge. It will start at 8am and run til 2pm. If you would like to rent a table contact Grace for that as well. Tables inside are $10.00 and $5.00 for outside. There will be breakfast available and lunch will be served from 11am-1pm.
