Fiddler on the Roof Auditions

Get your singing voices warmed up! Once of my very favorites is coming to The Little Theatre in NSB!
Auditions for the great show "Fiddler on the Roof" will be held Nov. 15 & 16 at 7:00 pm at the Little Theatre, 726 Third Ave. All positions are non-paid. Bring your singing voice and they will supply an accompanist. All ages are needed from 15 to 75. Show dates begin the end of Feb. to Mar. 13. Did you ever wonder how those Extreme Couponers do it? I did and finally learned how, now that my kids are older I don't need to stock up like I used to but I am all for saving money. If you find a great deal on something you don't need DONATE! The food banks and local shelters can always use toothpaste, soap and more.

The NSB Flip Factory in conjunction with New Smyrna Beach Mom is hosting a coupon class on October 1st at their facility in New Smyrna Beach. NSB Flip Factory is located at 1674 Tionia Rd in New Smyrna Beach. The class starts at 6:30 pm and will last about an hour. Have kids? Bring them to open gym at the Flip Factory during the event!

Health Fair & Senior Summit

More than 30 vendors will participate in the Health Fair and Senior Summit Sept. 30 at the Alonzo 'Babe' James Community Center. From 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., attendees may receive information on health care, hospice care, insurance, Medicare and Medicaid, senior care, services for the blind, Volusia County Health Department services and more. There also will be exercise workshops, HIV testing, and blood pressure screening. The event is free. For more info contact dbanks@cityofnsb.com

Amalfi's

I had a chance to have lunch at Amalfi's last week with my sweet friend Pam. Amalfi's is the former Luna Bella restaurant located in Venetian Bay. To get to it, you park by the pool and walk around to the front by the lake. I only tell you this because it can be confusing to some (as it was my friend Pam) but she found it and we had a fabulous lunch. I had a Greek Salad with meat, if it is just for you get the small, it is plenty big enough for one, with it I had a bowl of their Pasta Fagiola Soup. Both were delicious. Pam had the Chicken Philly Sub, it was fantastic and big enough for two meals.

The service was very good, our server, who was the bartender was very attentive and chatted with us about the restaurant, their specials things like that. Here is what I got:

They make their own fresh Sangria, they have open mic night on Mondays and Joe Calabrese will be entertaining there in the coming months. The first date is September 19th. They have a neighborhood night, singles night and Thursdays at the bar is .50 wing night. They have 67 wines by the bottle and 27 by the glass, they cater and do private parties and also offer delivery.
