USA Steam Clean

As I continue on my moving odyssey my latest find is Ron Sachs, owner and operator of USA Steam Clean. How did I pick him out of the gazillion carpet cleaning options you ask? He was suggested on my Facebook Page. I looked him up on his Facebook Page. I liked his truck, so I called him. Not a very scientific method for choosing a vendor but hey, it works for me.  Turns out Ron is retired from the NSB Police Department and is a Veteran. Bonus.

I called him this morning and I explained my enthusiastic timeline(nice way of saying I am in a hurry) he was able to come out today. Great guy, brand new equipment, uses natural cleaners, does not like chemicals. He cleaned my carpet and tile and it came out excellent! I am thrilled! The house smells so good and looks amazing!

You too can have spiffy carpet and tile for a reasonable price with excellent service. Call Ron at 386-42-STEAM (78326). He has some specials on his Facebook Page as well.

NSB Sleep Shop

I bought a bed today. This is almost as traumatic for me as buying a car. Sleeping is one of my favorite things to do. Napping is one of my most adored personal past times. Knowing that one would think I have no qualms about spending big bucks on a bed. Wrong. I have qualm about spending big bucks on anything...let alone something that I cannot wear or drive. After wandering around the internet looking for a bed that would not break the bank I decided to drop in on NSB Sleep Shop on Canal Street. Oh Happy Day. I was greeted by Co-owner Eric Reesman, what a nice guy. We chatted about some mutual friends, teenagers and life in NSB, then got down to the business of laying on some beds. Totally awesome beds. NSB Sleep Shop features King Koil Mattresses, ultra plush and so comfortable.

After sleeping around on their selection of beds, I decided upon the Mac Daddy King Size Super Duper Cadillac of beds. I CANNOT wait for it to be delivered next week. If you order the Mac Daddy King Size Super Duper Cadillac of beds Eric has to order it, but it comes in quickly. Queens and other sizes are readily available and in stock. They offer free delivery, set up and haul away of your old bed.

Visit their website and see what they have. Eric owns the store with his brother, Kyle who is a retired Air Force Veteran. I love to support local business and I really love to buy from a veteran. They are located at 1310 Canal Street (the old Dance Factory building) they are open from 10am - 6 pm Monday thru Friday and 10am - 5pm on Saturday.

Facial or a Massage?

Every now and then I get some free stuff for writing this blog. Once in a while it is really cool free stuff. This is one of those times. Kaley from Urban Loft Salon and Spa emailed me a week or so ago and asked me if I would like a complimentary facial. She is an expert in the care of teen skin and I have plenty of that in my house so I asked if my daughter could take my place and she said SURE!

We got a tour of the new place on Canal Street, it is beautiful and amazingly enough has comfortable shampoo chairs. Have you ever sat in a shampoo chair that did not jack up your neck? I now have. First time.

My daughter went off to have her facial and I planned to hang out and chat with the stylists. Instead I hit the jackpot and they offered me a 30 minute massage. Oh happy day, no one needed that more than I did. It was fabulous!!!

Kaley is planning on offering skin care classes for teens in the near future and after seeing the improvement in my daughter's face in just a short time I would say it would be an excellent investment in conjunction with a teen facial. There is nothing I can say about my massage, except it was wonderful, I am taking my daughter today to have one of her own.

Urban Loft is located on the corner of US1 and Canal Street, 550 Canal Street. You can reach them at 386-957-3841. Their Facebook page is here.

Drop by and see them at their Grand Opening on August 23rd from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
