School Referendum

The Volusia County School System is in big trouble.

There is not enough money to operate it in any kind of responsible manner. With the failure of the school tax referendum there will be cuts. Teachers, classes, extracurricular activities, entire programs including music, arts and perhaps sports will all be on the chopping block.

Is this really acceptable for the children of this county? Are we all okay with the loss of these programs? Is it not an oxymoron to pay a fine because the county cannot afford to employ enough teachers to meet class size requirements?

 Enough is really enough.
