New Smyrna Beach is a beautiful city located along the shores of the Indian River in Volusia County, Florida. You will find us on the central east coast of Florida, the Atlantic Ocean to our east, the the Intracoastal Waterway and the Mosquito Lagoon running through the middle. New Smyrna Beach is a quiet coastal community about 20 minutes south of the world's most famous Beach and the Daytona International Speedway.

New Smyrna Beach has about 24,000 permanent residents from all walks of life. Featuring a lovely downtown area, historic old Fort Park and beach side Flagler Avenue which offers shopping, restaurants and surf shops it is a great area to live in and visit. 

Outdoor activities are very popular, the area boasts many parks and outdoor recreation areas, marinas, and of course the 12 miles of white sand beaches ending in the National Seashore to the South.  New Smyrna Beach was voted “Best Beach in Florida,” by readers of Florida Monthly Magazine.

It is also a great place for those who want to learn more about Florida’s ecology, The Marine Discovery Center offers boat tours of the Indian River Lagoon, the Canaveral National Seashore’s dunes, lagoon and salt marsh exhibit several endangered species of birds and animals. 

New Smyrna Beach offers visitors access to the arts like no other area in central Florida.  The area is dotted with museums, performing arts centers and most weekends offer some form of art festival, show or concert. Named one of the “Top Small Cities for the Arts,” we are home to the Atlantic Center for the Arts and the Little Theater of New Smyrna Beach.
