Local Events









There is a ton of things to do in our little town this weekend, when you get sick of Turkey and untangling your Christmas lights check out the following local events:


Saturday, November 24th

Art Walk On Flagler Avenue - 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Featuring painting, jewelry, ceramics, glass blowing, fabric arts, sculpture, children's activities, entertainment, prize drawings; 120 resident artists and dozens of visiting artists presented by the Gallery Group of Flagler Avenue. On Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach. Free. (386) 428-2150.

Annual "Festival of Lights" - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Features more than 18 decorated designer Christmas trees, which will go to the highest bidder. At Museum of Arts and Sciences, 352 S. Nova Road, Daytona Beach. Included in museum admission: $5; $2 seniors and students; free to ages 5 and younger and members. Sale proceeds support educational programming at the museum. 34th Annual Daytona Turkey Run - 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Car show and swap meet. At Daytona International Speedway, 1801 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach. $15 adults, free to ages 11 and younger. Free parking. daytonabeachcarshows.com; (386) 255-7355.

Canal Street Festival - 10am-6pm Continuous live entertainment at three different locations on Canal Street! An atmosphere of times past when communities gather together to play, shop, eat and celebrate the upcoming season!

Entertainment will include local talent including bands, drill teams, choirs, carolers, pupets, skits, marshal arts, cheerleaders and much more. There will be face painters, pet adoptions, petting zoo, pony rides, horse drawn carriage rides, window decorating contest, food and much more! Christmas trees for sale.
