Marine Discovery Center

Here are some things happening at our Marine Discovery Center. You may or may not know they have been raising funds to refurbish and repair "Discovery" the Center's pontoon boat. Amazingly enough through large and small donations they have raised 25,000 for this effort. You can read about it here. They still need help...my children and many of our local children have spent many hours on this boat and at the Marine Discovery Center....let's help them out.

Bird Rescue Volunteers are needed~on Saturday, May 22nd there will be a class held at the MDC classroom at 9am for all those interested in helping. You will learn techniques for bird rescue and may be asked to dedicate time for this purpose. Please consider giving your time to this effort.
