Our unemployment rate is scary at 11.7% and the cost of living here is 1% over the national average. We have 230 days of sunshine and our air quality is 92.6 out of 100. Which is good since our water quality is a dismal 35 out of 100. The average household income is $45, 358. Across the board water quality in Volusia County is horrible, air quality is good....so we take our many days of sunshine, breathe easy....and buy bottled water!
