Hook Kids on Fishing

The Fourth Annual Hook Kids on Fishing program is coming to Edgewater's Kennedy Park on Saturday, May 7, 2011, from 9:00-11:00am. Located at Park Ave. and Riverside Dr (directly across from the Edgewater City Hall) George Kennedy Memorial Park is newly renovated with a fishing pier, boat ramps, picnic gazebos and a restroom facility. Registration is free! Check-in begins at 7:30 am and ends at 8:45 am

There will be centers on casting, fishing techniques, habitat restoration, conservation, fishing safety, knot tying, catch and release tactics along with fishing with professional guides.

Children from age 6 to 16 are welcome and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Pre-registration is required and limited to 100 children. Registration forms are available at the Edgewater Leisure Services Office, 1108 S. Ridgewood Ave from 8 am - 4:30 pm, Mon - Fri, or you can get one here.
