Sounds
of contemporary country music and southern rock will fill a hangar at the New
Smyrna Beach Airport next month. The New Smyrna Beach Police Athletic
League (PAL) will host Hangar Hootenanny 2014 – a country-themed fundraiser –
from 6-10 p.m., Saturday, November 8, in an American Aero Services
hangar at the intersection of Airway Circle and United Drive, New Smyrna Beach.
The
popular band, Saloonatix, will return to play at the 2nd annual
event. The event includes dancing, electronic bull rides, a silent and
live auction, barbecue and drinks. Tickets are $50 each or two for $75 and are
available at the New Smyrna Beach Police Department, 246 Industrial Park Drive,
and online at www.nsbpal.com/hoot.
The
event is presented by Sharon M. Adams and Daytona Toyota. Event proceeds will
benefit New Smyrna Beach PAL youth programs. New Smyrna Beach PAL is a 501(c)3
organization that involves youth in athletic, after-school, mentoring,
self-esteem building and leadership programs. Youth from Oak Hill, Samsula,
