The Mosquito Lagoon, which is a favorite fishing spot in out area as well as a bird sanctuary is in danger of being taken over by Kennedy Space Center. Read about it here.
If you want some local color on this issue read the comments at the end of the article. I think it is a shame that KSC would take this area which houses all varieties of local wildlife. Many of the bird photos I have are from this bird sanctuary. Judging from the comments there are a variety of strong opinions on the issue!
