Edgewater Animal Shelter

There are exciting things happening at the Edgewater Animal Shelter.  On August 1, 2012, Dr. Ginger Bryant from Glencoe Veterinary Clinic will be taking over the Edgewater Animal Shelter.  This is good news for local animals and their owners!

The name for the brand new organization is the Volusia Society for Aid to Animals (VSAA) and the Edgewater Animal Shelter. They will offer low cost spay/neuter services along with low cost shots on a daily basis by appointment.  Going forward there are plans to operate regular scheduled veterinary hours as well.

This will not change the great service the Animal Control personnel and the Shelter staff provide the community. In fact it will enhance the programs they are able to offer, giving the Shelter much more versatility to compete with the bigger shelters and vet clinics. It also gives all local animal lovers another choice in caring for their pets.

The Shelter is located at 605 Mango Tree Drive in Edgewater. You can contact them at 424-2442

On June 30th the Shelter will be holding a low shot clinic from 9am until 12 noon. Check their Facebook Page for prices and products available.
