Happenings

I have been absent the last week or so, moving into a new house in New Smyrna Beach. Not sure what idiot scheduled us to move the first week of school, (oh, wait that would be me). It is close to being done now and things are settling down. We just need furniture in three rooms or so, a cabinet fixed, our fence put up (I have chased my dog down Saxon about 7 times in 4 days) Life is grand. I should have scheduled some blog posts to go up, but that would require organization and planning.

Back to reality and local events, there is not much going on this short week around town. September is a pretty laid back month. There are a few things to look forward to that we will hit on in upcoming days:

Off the Hook Raw Bar & Grille is holding the First Annual Fluid Pirates Party on September 28th. More details coming on that. Their Oyster Fest is in October, we will get info on that too.

There is a Farmer's Market every Wednesday at the Volusia County Fairgrounds. It starts at 7:00 am. There are also Farmer's Markets at Norwood's Fine Seafood and Sam's Ave in NSB on Saturday mornings. The cooler weather will bring out the vendors again...my favorite lettuce man will hopefully show up soon!!

Every Saturday morning at 9:00 am there is a free lesson at the NSB Skate Park in New Smyrna Beach.

The Daytona Cubs are in the playoffs - they start Tuesday September 3rd at 7:05 p.m. Support the Cubs at Jackie Robinson Ballpark!

Stay tuned more events coming soon.....
